Jia is a professional esports athlete who competed in the PUBG Mobile stage held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from October 21–23, 2021. That stage was part of the Global Esports Games (GEG), not the Global Esports Tour (GET). The first edition of the GET was held in 2022, so Jia did not participate in a 2021 GET event. The GET is a series of tournaments for professional esports athletes and teams organized by the Global Esports Federation (GEF). The GEF, which also oversees the GEG, was launched on December 16, 2019, with Chris Chan as its founding President, and is headquartered in Singapore.

In September 2021, the Global Esports Federation announced the first series of the Global Esports Tour, with each stage showcasing a different esports title. The second stage of that inaugural season took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 21–23, 2021, featuring PUBG Mobile. Jia was among the professional athletes who competed in that tournament, vying for prize money from the overall US$500,000 prize pool. The event was part of the GEF's broader mission to convene the world's esports community, which includes 180 Member Federations as of August 2025. The GEF also organizes the annual Global Esports Games (GEG), first held in Singapore in December 2021, and supports its Member Federations in hosting local esports competitions and regional qualifying events.
